The SE part of Cape Coral has fewer vacant lots available which relates to less available newer homes on the market. These will be generally in the Del Prado Corridor, Country Club south of Veterans Blvd and the Yacht Club area. Some will offer direct sailboat access with a short ride out to open waters leading to the Gulf of Mexico and the beaches of Sanibel Island, Bonita, Naples and on down to Marco Island and beyond.
A lot of the new construction homes feature impressive interiors with high ceilings, crown moldings, kitchens that look so good you don't want to cook in them. Some will also have hurricane impact glass on windows & sliders so there's no need to install shutters. Of course the sky is the limit with what can be done today in terms of upgrades and electronics. Some locations will have breathtaking views of the river or a canal basin, which you can view while sitting on your lanai with a cold drink overlooking the disappearing edge pool.
