The Yacht Club is where Cape Coral started back in the 1950's. You will still see some older small bungalow, 2 bedroom style homes for sale. And it's common to see a 3,000 plus sq. ft. mansion right alongside of the bungalow. That's the housing market in Cape Coral and it's more pronounced down at the Yacht Club area.
There are a multitude of Gulf Access canals that were developed decades ago and this area offers some of the best, short boat rides out to the Caloosahatchee River which then leads to the Gulf of Mexico. Getting to places such as Sanibel Island, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita and Naples are convenient when cruising out from The Yacht Club canal system.
On Memorial Day weekend 2014 The Boat House restaurant opened up the Tiki Bar Restaurant on the elevated deck down at The Yacht Club pier. The newly constructed Tiki Huts and deck additions were quite an improvement over the decades old eatery that it replaced. Overlooking the River basin while dining, and admiring the scenery as boats leave and enter the main canal systems is one of the best things to enjoy whether you're on vacation or a local resident.
The Yacht Club offers a variety of different styles, Old, new, Gulf Access or just a regular great place you can call home.
