The Cornwallis neighborhood is located in the SE area of Cape Coral. General location is south of Veterans Memorial Parkway and east of Del Prado Boulevard. This is an area that has a mixture of older homes and newer styles. There are gorgeous mansions that line the area along the Caloosahatchee River, you can see Fort Myers with the long water views across the river. There are basic older homes built in the 1970's and the newer built more modern architecture styles with higher ceilings and other decorative appointments.
Cornwallis Parkway runs from Del Prado Blvd east to the Caloosahatchee River for a distance of almost one mile. There are twenty Gulf Access Canals in this area and because they are east of Del Prado there are no bridges to navigate under.
This is a benefit to boaters that need sailboat access waterways. Getting out to the river will be 15 minutes or less in navigating the canal system.
The location is good for access points to the Veterans Memorial Bridge to travel to eastern connections of Fort Myers and Interstate 75. If you need Direct Access for boating and want a short boat ride to open water then consider the Cornwallis neighborhood. And if you don't need to live on the water but want to enjoy walking or living in an area of riverfront or gulf access homes then Cornwallis is another place in SE Cape Coral to take a look at.
