Located at the extreme south end of Chiquita Boulevard in SW Cape Coral is a very prestigious Elite gated community - The Hermitage. Most people don't know it exists because of its location, very private, gated, with an ornamental fountain and lush tropical landscaping outside the roundabout entrance to the complex.

There are no boat locks or bridges to contend with and its location is walking distance to Cape Harbour Marina, a destination for restaurants, boutique shops and just a great place to visit, with paver walkways and an outside bar overlooking the marina. Live entertainment is provided a few nights a week. Rumrunners restaurant is well known and been at Cape Harbour for more than a decade, located right on the South Spreader waterway which flows past The Hermitage.
